Our 7th Carolina Piedmont Pageant was
held in March 2006. MTV’s Tiara Girls followed one of our
contestants for a few weeks prior to competition as she
prepared for our pageant and was on hand pageant day for
the big event. Nathalie Combs was crowned the 2006 Teen
Miss Carolina Piedmont and was featured on MTV’s Tiara
Girls as she prepared and competed at the Carolina
Piedmont Pageant. Many of our contestants were seen on
National TV as Nathalie’s episode was aired on MTV. We had
a great time with the MTV Crew and hope to see them again
the next time they film a pageant series. All of our
Royalty this year have done a wonderful job and have had a
lot of fun getting to know each other. Many of our Queens
have been able to represent their Carolina Piedmont titles
throughout the State and have made us very proud. As with
each year our Queens have been busy with parades, visiting
other pageants and festivals, visiting Buffalo Beal’s
Animal Park, entertaining residents for Christmas at
Spring Arbor Assisted Living and of course our annual
Christmas Party. We love our Royalty and we love to see
them have fun each year!
On February 26, 2005 the Carolina
Piedmont Pageant held its 6th competition. Girls from
across the State competed for 17 prestigious titles. This
year both our Mrs. Carolina Piedmont – Talisha Reynolds
and Ms. Carolina Piedmont – Mary Lynn Fuller competed in
the Mrs. North Carolina America Pageant. Both of these
ladies did a wonderful job, had a lot of fun and made many
new and lasting friendships. All of our Queens have been
very busy this year with visits to Assisted Living
Facilities, other Pageants, Parades, Festivals and
Parties. We love our Royalty and are happy to have them as
part of our Pageant Family.
The 5th annual Carolina Piedmont Pageant was held in February 2004. Again the pageant grew as we added 3 more titles to our list of winners; Petite Most Beautiful, Petite Royal and Ms. Carolina Piedmont. We have had many women ask us to add a division for the ladies who wanted to compete in the Mrs. Division but did not want to compete with the 20 year olds, so the Ms. Carolina Piedmont is for ladies 36 & Over, Married, Single Widowed or Divorced. The winner of this division is also eligible to compete in the Mrs. North Carolina Pageant if she is married. Our 1st Ms. Carolina Piedmont is Anne Wepner, she along with Mrs. Carolina Piedmont - Donna Huffman are eligible to compete in the 2005 Mrs. North Carolina America Pageant. We wish our Ms. and Mrs. Queens the best of luck at the State Pageant. Again this year our Queens are eligible to compete in the NC Diamond USA State Pageant. Two of our Queens brought home State Titles: Kaila Atapovich - Mini Royal Carolina Piedmont won the 0-6 Novice Queen at the State Pageant and Allison Zucco - Petite Royal Carolina Piedmont won the 7 & Up Novice Queen at the State Pageant. We are very proud of all of our Royalty !!
In 2003 our pageant experienced more growth by adding two Most Beautiful Titles to our list of winners. Our Queens were also eligible for the first time to compete in the North Carolina Diamond USA State Pageant. Several of our Queens competed and did a great job. Our 2003 Mrs. Carolina Piedmont - Krista Whitener-Biddix competed in the 2003 Mrs. North Carolina America Pageant. Krista did a wonderful job and was named 3rd Runner Up, we are very proud of her. The Queens again had a busy year by participating in parades, local pageants and festivals, visits to rest homes and a Christmas Party with a visit from Santa.
