(Required)
-In Birth-4 years, judging will be based on Facial Beauty,
Physical Beauty, Personality Projection and Attire on a
scale of 1-25 points. In 5 & Over, judging will be based
on Facial Beauty, Physical Beauty, Personality Projection,
Attire and Modeling, all on a scale of 1-20 points. NO
PRIVATE INTERVIEWS. Miss, Mrs. And Ms. Contestants will be
asked an on stage question during Beauty competition. The
question will come from either your ambition or hobbies
and interests portion of your entry form. The on stage
question will be worth an additional 5 "bonus points"
toward your total Beauty score. **Please either mail a
photo of the contestant with the entry form, or email a
photo to directors@carolinapiedmontpageant.com for the
program book.**
Optional Competitions
Most Beautiful - Judged on Facial Beauty only
during the Beauty Competition.
Photogenic -
This competition is judged by the picture that you turn in
at registration. Photos can be coloror black and white and
should be no smaller than a 3˝" X 5" and no larger than an
8" X 10". Photos can be in a clear protective cover but NO
FRAMES please. We ask that you only submit 1 photo for
competition. Please make sure that your child’s name and
age division is on the back of the photo and remember to
turn it in at registration. Natural Photos Only, No
Retouching or Enhancements! PLEASE DO NOT MAIL
PHOTOGENIC PICTURES.
Sportswear - We
recommend that you wear something dressy, not a sporting
event. Sportswear can be plain or glitzy, off the rack or
custom made, depending on your child. Be sure to wear
something that shows the child's personality. Modeling is
straight T-formation, NO Pro-Am. Judging is based on
Beauty, Personality Projection, Attire and Modeling on a
scale of 1-25 points. Overall Impression takes the place
of Modeling in Birth-4 years.
Swimwear -One
piece swimsuits only, with or without shoes. Mrs. and Ms.
Contestants are permitted to wear a "wrap" with your
swimsuit if you choose. The wrap should be from the waist
down only if you choose to wear one. Judging is based on
Beauty, Personality Projection, Attire and Modeling on a
scale of 1-25 points.
Sleepwear - This
competition is for Birth-4 years only and takes the place
of Talent. Sleepwear can be pajamas, gown, robe and
slippers, or whatever you choose. They will be judged on
Beauty, Personality Projection, Attire and Overall
Impression, all on a scale of 1-25 points.
Talent - Talent
is for ages 5 & Over only. Judging is on Originality,
Technique/Difficulty, Costume and Stage Presence all on a
scale of 1-25 points. Presentations should be no more than
3 minutes long. Any musical accompaniment must be on a
cassette tape or CD with no other music on it, clearly
labeled with the child’s name, age division and
music title. Please have all tapes cued and ready to play.
All music must be turned in at registration.
Order of Competitions
Beauty, Sportswear, Swimwear, Sleepwear or Talent.
Modeling is Standard “T” Formation. Pro-Am is not allowed.
Deadline
The deadline for the pageant is April 12, 2008. All
entries must be post marked no later than this date and
will not be accepted at the door. All monies must
accompany the entry form for all of the categories
entered. Cash, Personal Checks, Sponsor Business Checks
and Money Orders will be accepted. There will be a $25.00
Service Charge on all returned checks. NO REFUNDS
- NO EXCEPTIONS!! Contestants will compete in reverse
order of entries received, first in will be the last to
compete in each age division.
Deadline for entry
is April 18th 2009!!
**All entries postmarked by March 10th 2009 may deduct
$20.00 from the total entry fee!!**
Families
If more than one contestant in the same family enters the
pageant and competes in ALL CATEGORIES then additional
entrants from the same family who also compete in ALL
CATEGORIES may compete in BEAUTY for FREE! This
includes Sisters, Mothers, Daughters and Grandmothers.
Awards
There will be a winner, 1st and 2nd runners-up in each age
division in Beauty. Winners will receive a Large Trophy,
Beautiful Round Crown, Custom Designed Banner, Carolina
Piedmont T-shirt, Gift bag and $50.00 Savings Bond.
Runners-up receive a trophy. There will be a winner, 1st
and 2nd runners-up in Sportswear, Sleepwear and Talent,
all receiving a trophy. In Photogenic there will be one
winner who receives a trophy. There will be 3 Most
Beautiful Winners, "Mini Most Beautiful" in the Birth - 4
yrs., "Petite Most Beautiful" in the 5 - 12 yrs. and
"Grand Most Beautiful" in 13 & Over. The winner receives a
Beautiful Round Crown, Trophy, Custom Designed Banner and
a Carolina Piedmont T-shirt. There will be 3 "Royal"
Winners who will win a prize package worth over $500.00
dollars, "Mini Royal" in the Birth-4 yrs.,"Petite Royal"
in the 5-12 yrs. and "Grand Royal" in 13 & Over. This is
the contestant with the highest total score. You Must
compete in all events; Beauty, Most Beautiful, Photogenic,
Sportswear, Swimwear, Sleepwear (Birth-4 years) or Talent
(5 & Over) to be eligible for the "Royal" Award. The
"Royal" winners will receive $300.00 Cash, a Beautiful
Round Crown, Custom Designed Banner, 5 Ft. Trophy,
Carolina Piedmont T-shirt, Gift Bag and a Surprise. We
DO NOT Double Crown. Crowning for the Birth-4 year
contestants will be before the afternoon pageant gets
underway. Birth-4 Winners will need to return in the
evening for group pictures.
**Any contestant who has previously won one of our Most
Beautiful or Royal Titles is eligible to win those titles
again as long as they are moving into another age
division. You can not win your Age Division Beauty Title
more than once.**
**2007 Mini, Petite and Grand Royal Winners cannot
re-compete until 2009. All other title holders are allowed
to re-compete as long as they are moving into the next age
division.**
***Any Queen who wins another pageant title within 4
months of winning her Carolina Piedmont title and is under
contract with that pageant and no longer able to represent
her Carolina Piedmont title will relinquish her title,
crown, banner, Cash and ALL awards won at the Carolina
Piedmont Pageant to the 1st Runner Up within 1 week of
winning her contracted title.***

Tickets
You may sell sponsor tickets on a $50.00 Savings Bond for
$1.00 each and earn entry fees and extra trophies. Buyer
does not have to be present to win. See attached page for
sponsor tickets. Minimum Ticket Sales are as follows:

Our Queens make many appearances throughout the year
including visits to rest homes, parades and festivals. We
strive to treat our Queens like Royalty and expect our
Queens to make as many appearances as possible. The only
MANDATORY appearance for the 2008 Queens is that they ride
on the Carolina Piedmont Pageant float throughout the
Soldiers Reunion Parade in Newton, North Carolina on
Thursday August 21, 2009 at 5:00pm.
